The Council of Ministers held its session today, Tuesday, in the temporary capital Aden Presided over by Prime Minister Dr. Ma'een Abdulmalik to discuss the developments of the situations in the country.

The Cabinet elaborately discussed the developments of the tropical cyclone which hit the two governorates of Socotra and al-Mahra and it is on way toward Hadramout governorate.

The discussions touched upon the ongoing efforts to manage the effects of the tropical cyclone.

The Prime Minister applauded the role of the authorities in charge at the national and local level in dealing with the natural disaster caused by the cyclone, reiterating the government's commitment to carry out the directives of the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council about relieving the affected people, appreciating the swift response of the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, providing all forms of the relief, humanitarian aids and interventions.

The Cabinet reviewed the reports by the concerned Ministers about the problems relating to providing the electricity generate stations with the fuels in the temporary capital Aden and the underway efforts to get rid of them.

The Prime Minister touched upon the latest developments about the peace process in view of the continuous efforts by the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman to renew the truce and launch a comprehensive political process to re-establish security, stability, peace and development.

The Cabinet reiterated its commitment to the peace option and to deal constructively with all proposals and efforts aiming to achieve peace based on the three terms of the peace references which are agreed on nationally, regionally and internationally.

The Council of Ministers touched upon the Israeli occupation forces' aggression and atrocities against the Palestinian people. It confirmed Yemen's principled stance in support of the Palestinian people and its legitimate struggle to establish its independent statehood.
