Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Waed Batheeb, Minister of Finance Salem bin Buraik and Minister of Electricity and Energy Manea bin Yameen discussed Sunday here with Vice President of International Finance Corporation Halah Sheikh boosting partnerships between the public and private sectors.

The two partis also discussed encouraging investment in field of energy, information technology and telecommunications.

Minister Batheeb praised efforts of IFC in expanding participation of the corporation and its support to the private sector in Yemen, touching upon significance of the vital role of the private sector in enhancing economic situation.

He confirmed need to the help of the IFC in financing projects contribute in enhancing flexibility of private sector and its survival ability, as well as government's aspirations for joint cooperation and working on making a plan for necessary support to enhance capabilities of Yemen's institutions.

Minister of Planning urged the IFC to provide technical support, training and consultative services to the government, companies and local financial institutions to improve their skills and abilities on attracting investments.

For his part, Minister of Finance bin Buraik reviewed latest economic and financial developments and government's efforts in implementing the program of inclusive reforms in economic, financial, cash and financial domains.

In the meantime, Minister of Electricity bin Yameen confirmed significance of international support to electricity and energy sector in Yemen for helping government's efforts and ministry of electricity in facing challenges and implementing sustainable projects.
