Chief of Staff, the Commander of the Joint Operations General Lieutenant Sagheer bin Aziz discussed Friday with Commander of US Central Command Lieutenant General Michle Corola boosting cooperation and coordination in military and security field.

In the meeting held in the Headquarter of US Central Command in Tamba, bin Aziz expressed high appreciation to the support provided by the United States to Yemen and its leadership, hoping enhancing cooperation between Yemeni armed forces and US forces, especially in training and qualification field and taking care of the military delegates sent for study and training in the US.

He confirmed importance of resuming support and assistance, which were provided by the US to Yemeni army to enable Yemeni armed forces to be active partner in keeping security and stability in Yemen and securing international maritime lines, international interests and in efforts of fighting terrorism and smuggling led by terrorism of Houthi militia.

He also expressed high appreciation to US party for showing readiness to support Yemeni army in technical field and supporting its defense abilities and support in the health field, improving military training centers and military transport.
