Yemen, Kuwaiti Fund sign financial preparations for loan on rural roads project

Yemen represented by Minister of Planning and International Cooperation Waed Batheeb signed Thursday here with the Kuwaiti Fund for Development represented by Acting Director General Walid al-Bahr preparations for the financial treaty and instalment schedule of the fund's loan No. 869 on financing the Rural Roads and Social Project.

The ceremony was attended by Minister of Electricity and Energy Mane'a bin Yameen.

After signing the treaty, the two parties discussed issues associated with energy financed by the fund; doing maintenance work to Marib Gas Station and the projects of improving Aden network and powerline between al-Habilain-Yafe'a 132 KV and the program of supporting capabilities of the employees of ministries in the transitional capital of Aden.

Ministers of planning and electricity expressed their appreciation to the Kuwaiti Fund and uttered their keenness on enhancing cooperation for serving interests of Yemeni people and contribute in realizing the sustainable development.

For his part, the Director of the Fund confirmed continuous partnership and support to Yemen, pointing out that preparations are underway for sending a mission from the fund to visit Aden to inspect the fund's projects.
