Minister of Finance, Salem Ben Breik, and the Governor of the Central Bank of Yemen, Ahmed Al-Maabaqi, discussed with the Director of the Middle East and Central Asia Department at the International Monetary Fund, the latest developments in the economic, financial and monetary conditions in Yemen.
The meeting held today in the Moroccan city of Marrakesh, touched on public debt statistics, and the government’s efforts with the support of brotherly and friendly countries and donors, led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in implementing the comprehensive reform program in the economic, financial, monetary and administrative aspects with the aim of improving the economic and general conditions.
Minister Ben Breik stressed the importance of continuing foreign support to the government's efforts aimed at confronting and overcoming economic and financial challenges and improving the general conditions and livelihood of citizens.
