Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, participated today in the extraordinary session at the ministerial level of the Arab League council, at the request of the State of Palestine and the Kingdom of Morocco, to discuss ways of political action at the Arab and international levels to stop the escalation in the Palestinian territories and provide protection.

In the meeting, in the presence of the Secretary-General of the Arab League, Ahmed Aboul Gheit, and a number of assistant secretaries, the ministers will discuss the state of military escalation in Gaza and the worsening conditions that threaten the lives of civilians and the stability of the region, ways to provide protection for civilians in Gaza and its environs, and the regular arrival of relief aid and services.

The meeting also discusses possible efforts to communicate with the international and regional community to stop acts of escalation and Israeli aggression, protect the security of the region, adhere to international and humanitarian law, not target civilians, emphasize lifting the siege on the Gaza Strip, immediately allow the entry of humanitarian aid, and emphasize political support
