Minister of Finance Salem BinBuraik discussed Monday with representatives of Financial Affairs Department (FAD) in International Monetary Fund continuing technical support and capacity building of the finance ministry and its agencies.
Participating in the annual meetings of World Bank and International Monetary Fund Group, which commenced its activities Monday here, BinBuraik reviewed situations of the economic and financial sectors in Yemen and the big challenges facing the government of Yemen for more than a year after Houthi terrorist militia targeted oil establishments.
He praised support of the Fund to the financial sector and taxes and customs authorities and the support's contribution in helping improving collecting resources and enhancing expending capability.
He confirmed keenness of the government and finance ministry on continuing reforms of public financial management, enhancing governance and transparency and realizing accountability principle.
He confirmed necessity of continuous support to the government's efforts to face different challenges and overcoming them.
