Minister of Industry and Trade Mohammad al-Ashwal discussed Sunday with the Regional Director of International Labor Organization Dr. Ruba Gradat enhancing cooperation in field of small projects and boosting survival and limiting child labor.
In the meeting, which was attended by Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade Salim al-Wali, Minister al-Ashwal confirmed significance of enhancing cooperation and joint work to improve and develop commercial activities encouraging small projects and establishments.
He reviewed efforts of the ministry in supporting leading businessmen and establishing the industrial and commercial institute, which will be a center for economic and consultation studies and taking care of businesswomen and elaborating their data base.
For her part, the UN official pointed out to releasing the new strategy of the organization for the forthcoming three years, which is integrating with priorities of the rest UN organizations to face humanitarian crisis and development's needs in Yemen, especially to youth and women.
She made it clear that her visit to Yemen is the first one and aims at inspecting closely nature and levels of the organization's interventions, visiting some locations of the projects and meeting with beneficiaries.
