Prime Minister Salem Saleh bin Braik arrived Wednesday in the Emirati capital Abu Dhabi on an official visit in response to an invitation from the leadership of the sisterly United Arab Emirates.

Interior Minister discusses with the legal and security attachés of the US Embassy cooperation in combating terrorism

Minister of the Interior, Major General Ibrahim Haidan, discussed with the US Legal Attaché, and the Security Attaché and the Assistant Legal Attaché Maureen Walders, security cooperation between the two countries in the field of combating terrorism and organized crime.

Major General Haidan stressed the efforts made by the Yemeni security services in combating terrorism, especially after the interaction between the terrorist Houthi militias and Al-Qaeda and ISIS organizations and the release of prisoners of both organizations from prisons under the control of the Houthi militia.

He noted the cooperation with the American side in supporting the security services in the areas of training and qualification for officers and individuals in combating terrorism and cybersecurity.

For his part, the US Legal Attaché expressed his appreciation for the cooperation between the US Department of Justice, represented by the Federal Bureau of Investigation and the Yemeni security services, expressing his country’s readiness to provide more support in the areas of cybersecurity, DNA tests, technological fingerprints, and remote sensing of explosive detection.
