Secretary-General of the Local Council in Aden Governorate, Badr Maoun, discussed with the policy advisor at the International Organization for Migration the organization’s interventions and the humanitarian and economic repercussions of illegal immigration in the governorate.
The two sides touched on the humanitarian situation in light of the continued influx of internal displacement and illegal immigration from the Horn of Africa into the governorate, and aspects of joint coordination between the local authority and organizations working in the humanitarian field, which contributes to expanding their support for activities, programs and development efforts in the governorate.
