Yemen Says Houthi Militia Poses Direct Threat to Regional Peace, Condemns Attacks on Gulf Infrastructure
Yemen has affirmed that the Iran-backed Houthi militia poses a direct threat to regional peace and security and to international navigation, saying the group is a tool used to undermine Yemen’s sovereignty and stability, disrupt basic services, and obstruct the delivery of humanitarian assistance to those in need.

Prime Minister Dr. Maeen Abdulmalik received today, Tuesday, at his residence in the Qatari capital, Doha, the CEO of Qatar Charity, Yousef Al-Kuwari.
During the meeting, the areas of support provided through Qatar Charity to the Yemeni people were discussed, in the humanitarian and development aspects, and the mechanisms of qualitative interventions required during the coming period, in addition to the projects being implemented within the framework of reactivating the humanitarian and development role of the organization, and coordination with the government to identify priority sectoral needs for support.
The Prime Minister was briefed by the CEO of Qatar Charity on the organization’s plans to strengthen its presence in Yemen and the projects currently being implemented in Marib and Taiz to support the displaced and develop the medical sector, and the keenness to activate the agreements signed with Yemeni government institutions.
Dr. Maeen Abdulmalik praised the efforts and keenness shown by Qatar Charity to implement a number of projects in the humanitarian and development fields in Yemeni areas of need.
He expressed his aspiration for intensified efforts by humanitarian and charitable organizations to support the government in alleviating the humanitarian suffering of the Yemeni people and focusing on selecting quality projects.
