Member of the Presidential Leadership Council, Governor of Marib, Major General Sultan bin Ali Al-Erada, and the head of the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology, Captain Saleh Salim bin Nahid, laid the foundation stone to complete the implementation of Marib International Airport project, coinciding with the Yemeni people’s celebrations of the Yemeni Revolution’s holidays (September, October and November). ).
The facilities include the airport buildings, which number 14 facilities, in addition to the work of the aprons, parking lots, roads, and paving for the runway and entrance.
When operational, the airport will provide services for operating domestic and international flights, air freight for exports and imports, and fueling and maintaining aircraft. Al-Erada expressed his happiness at laying the foundation stone to complete this strategic project in accordance with the directives of His Excellency the Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council, Dr. Rashad Al-Alimi, His Excellency the Prime Minister, Dr. Maeen Abdul-Malik, His Excellency the Minister of Transport, and the efforts of the President of the General Authority of Civil Aviation and Meteorology, to complete this project.
