Prime Minister Dr. Maeen Abdulmalik launched an emergency national campaign to vaccinate children against measles and rubella, personally giving doses of the vaccine to a number of children.

The campaign, which will be implemented over a period of six days by the Ministry of Public Health and Population, with the support of its partners in the World Health Organization, UNICEF, and the Global Vaccine Alliance (GAVI), targets more than one million and 267 thousand children, male and female, from the age of 6 months to 59 months, in 121 districts in 13 governorates. .

In a statement to the media, the Prime Minister expressed his happiness at the launch of the immunization campaign aimed at eliminating one of the most dangerous diseases that afflict children and affect their lives in the present and the future.

He called on all citizens to interact with the important campaign to eliminate the deadly disease measles, which has begun to appear again to threaten the lives of children, after it had declined in recent years...pointing out that the Ministry of Health is working day and night to provide routine vaccines.
