Minister of Foreign Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak, discussed with the deputy administrator of the United States Agency for International Development, Isobel Coleman, bilateral relations between our country and the United States and the USAID's interventions in a number of sectors in Yemen.
In the meeting, Minister Bin Mubarak appreciated the USAID’s continued support for development programs in Yemen, pointing to the development and economic challenges facing Yemen in light of the Houthi economic war, the repercussions of the food security crisis, and the importance of supporting state institutions and providing support through the Central Bank in Aden.
In turn, the US official reviewed the plans and efforts that the USAID is working on in Yemen, praising at the same time the level of cooperation and coordination with the Yemeni government.
