[13/09/2023 02:31]
Budapest - Saba
The Chargé d'Affairs of the Yemeni Embassy in Budapest, Ahmed Naji, discussed with the Head of the Middle East and North Africa Department at the Hungarian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, Janosz Lasztówka, the developments of the situation in Yemen.

Naji touched on the developments in the political situation in Yemen, and the government’s efforts to achieve peace and alleviate the suffering of the Yemeni people despite the violations committed by the Houthi militias on a daily basis, their refusal to officially renew the truce, the plunder of the revenues of the port of Hodeidah and their transfer to finance the war, and the continuation of its siege imposed on the city of Taiz. The militias refuse to implement the agreements related to opening roads so far, in addition to continuing to launch missiles and drones from time to time, and targeting export ports and national economic facilities.

The Chargé d'Affairs of the Yemeni Embassy confirmed that the international community's leniency in dealing with Houthi violations encourages these militias to engage in more intransigence and blackmail against the Yemeni government.
