Prime Minister Dr. Maeen Abdulmalik held meeting here with the Head of European Commission to Yemen Gabriel Munuera Viñals and ambassadors of a number of European Union countries in Yemen.
The meeting discussed latest development in Yemen and the ongoing reforms carried by the government to handle current challenges led by economic, service and humanitarian domains and European support for this purpose.
The meeting, which included ambassadors of France, Germany, Netherlands and Finland, tackled UN, regional and international efforts to push efforts of the political solution and realizing peace in Yemen amid rejection and stubbornness of Houthi terrorist militia and their increasing threats- in coordination with the terrorist organizations- to security of the region and international navigation.
Prime Minister Abdulmalik briefed the European Ambassadors on the problems facing the government and its vision to deal with them, including Houthi economic war on the country, pointing out to continuous government efforts to implement reforms and combat corruption, despite big pressures and defame campaigns facing the government by influential people whose interests are harmed by the reforms.
He renewed government and Presidential Leadership Council's firm and serious position towards resumption of the political process and realizing peace in accordance with the three agreed upon references: the GCC Initiative, the outcomes of the National Dialogue Conference and Security Council Resolution's 22016.
" There is no point from ending the war in its military form amid remaining of their reactors and effects in the rest life's domains and continuous blocking roads, besieging cities and targeting civilians by Houthi terrorist militia," said Prime Minister.
He called upon the international community to exert more pressures on Houthi terrorist militia and resort to public choice of peace, regaining the state and ending Houthi coup.
For their part, the Head of the European Commission and European ambassadors, confirmed their full support to the government and its efforts in implementing reforms and working on making economic and service conditions stable.
