The Yemeni Customs Authority participated in the annual evaluation meeting of the United Nations Program on Combating Drugs and Maritime Crime, held in the British capital, London, with a delegation headed by the chairman of the Customs Authority, Abdul Hakim Al-Qubati.
The meeting aims to evaluate the work of the United Nations program in Yemen, especially in the field of rebuilding the capabilities of the Customs Authority staff, and opportunities for future support in the field of qualification and training and technical assistance to improve customs work.
The Customs Authority reviewed a working paper that included the most prominent of its achievements over the course of a year, the challenges it faces in terms of combating smuggling, and the plans, needs and requirements of the Customs Authority’s work during the next phase.
