Yemen Says Houthi Militia Poses Direct Threat to Regional Peace, Condemns Attacks on Gulf Infrastructure
Yemen has affirmed that the Iran-backed Houthi militia poses a direct threat to regional peace and security and to international navigation, saying the group is a tool used to undermine Yemen’s sovereignty and stability, disrupt basic services, and obstruct the delivery of humanitarian assistance to those in need.

Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Muammer al-Eryani highly praised the significant support of the United States to sustain the Yemeni government aims to protect the Yemeni cultural heritage and antiquities in accordance with the UNESCO Treaty of 1970.
He deeply appreciated the American administration's role in seizing and returning (79) Yemeni artifacts were smuggled to be illegally trafficked.
In a statement to the Yemeni News Agency (Saba) the Minister said he is looking forward to further coordination and cooperation with the American authorities about the protection of the Yemeni antiquities in terms of the measures to control artifacts smuggling and trafficking and in training the Yemeni workers who are responsible for protecting the historical sites and preserving the antiquities.
The Minister called on other countries, the UN and the concerned international organizations to act for enacting a resolution by the International Security Council to ban trafficking the Yemeni antiquities based on the Hague Agreement of 1954 and the Second Protocol of 1999 about the protection of the cultural heritage amid armed conflict.
