Minister of Planning and International Cooperation, Dr. Waed Bathib, discussed today in the interim capital, Aden, with the Acting Director of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) in Yemen the level of humanitarian interventions of international organizations in the country.

The meeting discussed strengthening humanitarian partnerships between the government and OCHA.

Minister Bathib touched on the government's programmes, plans and policies to address the general conditions that the country suffers from in various fields, with the aim of developing quick solutions to limit the economic deterioration and the currency collapse and focus on developing promising economic and productive sectors with durability and continuity to ensure development, stability and economic improvement.

He stressed the Ministry's keenness to coordinate with United Nations organizations and agencies in finding direct channels of communication with partners and supporters to unify efforts to mobilize the necessary funds for the continuation of implementing projects in a way that achieves the benefit of providing aid and alleviating the scale of human suffering in the country.
