Prime Minister Dr. Maeen Abdulmalik affirmed that Yemen, despite the difficult circumstances it is going through and the limited capabilities, is still carrying out its humanitarian duty towards refugees and migrants coming from the countries of the Horn of Africa, and the challenges that this poses and the required role of the United Nations and the international community to support the government in this aspect.

This came during the Prime Minister's reception, today, in the interim capital, Aden, of the International Organization for Migration delegation, headed by the Organization's Regional Director for the Middle East and North Africa, Othman Al-Belaisi.

They discussed the existing cooperation between the government and the International Organization for Migration, regarding migration issues, and assistance in finding practical solutions to all problems related to migration and providing humanitarian assistance to refugees and immigrants, in addition to the displaced, and the urgent needs and priorities in this aspect.

The meeting touched on the existing strategic partnership between Yemen and the International Organization for Migration, regarding the humanitarian conditions related to refugees and displaced persons, including the vital role of the organization in supporting Yemen's efforts in this field and mobilizing the necessary international support, in addition to the projects implemented by the organization in Yemen.
