The Presidential Leadership Council (PLC( held a meeting today, Sunday, chaired by His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Council, with the attendance of its members Sultan al-Arada, Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi, and via video call Abdul-Rahman al-Mahrami and Othman Majli, while Aidaroos al-Zubaidi, Tariq Saleh and Faraj al-Bahsni were absent with an excuse.

Finance Minister Salem bin Breik discussed today, in the interim capital, Aden, with the UK Chargé d'Affaires for Yemen, Charles Harper, developments in the financial and economic conditions in Yemen, and the importance of Saudi support to reduce the deficit in the state's general budget and implement comprehensive reforms.
During the meeting, the two sides also discussed the vision of the Ministry of Finance regarding the implementation of a package of economic, financial and monetary reforms, working to achieve improvement in economic and general conditions, enhancing service conditions and food security, alleviating the suffering of citizens, and the importance of continuing to support technical and human capacity-building programs in the Ministry of Finance and government departments.
The meeting also dealt with the challenges facing the government, especially after the Iranian-backed Houthi terrorist coup militia targeted vital and strategic oil, economic and strategic ports and installations, as well as the latest developments in regional and international efforts to achieve comprehensive and lasting peace, and aspects of strengthening cooperation and joint coordination between the two friendly countries in various fields, especially economic field.
