Al-Eryani seeks Chinese cooperation in media

Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism Muammer al-Eryani held discussions today, Wednesday, with the Acting-Chinese Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen Chu Ch'ing over bilateral relations between the two countries in media.

He explored the Chinese collaboration about training the Yemeni journalists and cadres in the People's Republic of China.
The conversations also touched upon Houthi militias' platforms on the Tick Tok company which the militias are using to promote violence, extremism, terrorism and hatred discourse.

Al-Eryani stated that he is looking forward to see a Chinese role in closing the Houthi militias' platforms on the Tick Tok. He noted that YouTube and Facebook have closed some accounts of the militias.

The Minister highly praised the Chinese supportive stances in support of the internationally recognized Yemeni government and leadership.

The Chinese diplomat reiterated China's support for the Presidential Leadership Council and the government.
He said that he is looking forward to further promote collaboration between the two countries in the area of training the media, culture and tourism cadres.

The Acting-Chinese Ambassador noted that the Chinese government is monitoring the violence content which promoted by social media websites and strongly controlling it.

He stated that the Tick Tok headquarters is in Singapore and he is going to convey the request of the Yemeni side about the platforms which publish content promote violence on the Tic Tok to his country's government.
