Minister of State, Governor of Aden, Ahmed Lamlas, discussed with the Dutch Deputy Ambassador to Yemen and the Embassy's First Secretary for Political Affairs ways of joint cooperation in promoting the peace process in Yemen.

The meeting touched on a number of issues related to the interventions of international organizations in Aden, the role of the local authority in activating community partnership, the important role played by community committees in addressing local issues, and the procedures and complications followed against the port of Aden, which doubled the suffering of citizens, in addition to the economic situation in light of the ban on the export of crude oil following the Houthi targeting of the export ports, in addition to the works that are being worked on for the sake of development and the development of security work and the electricity file.

In the meeting, which was attended by the deputy governor, Salah Al-Aqel, Lamlas praised the Dutch role in supporting peace efforts in Yemen and the region, and the prominent role of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in supporting development efforts. He stressed the need for support to focus on infrastructure projects and services, and for the response and solutions to be radical. and sustainable.

Lamlas reviewed the efforts made by the local authority to improve the situation in Aden, and what it has accomplished in terms of revenue development, through an integrated center for collecting all financial resources from its various sources according to an integrated electronic system that achieves the highest level of efficiency in this aspect.
