Presidential Leadership Council Chairman receives UN Special Envoy

President of the presidential Leadership Council Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, along with members of the Council Othman Mojali and Faraj Al-Bahsani, received the United Nations Special Envoy, Hans Grundberg.

In the meeting, the President of the Presidential Leadership Council affirmed the commitment of the Council and the government to the comprehensive peace approach based on the references of the Gulf initiative, the decisions of the national dialogue and the relevant international resolutions, especially Resolution 2216.

The meeting touched on coordinated UN efforts with the region and the international community to renew the truce and opportunities to expand it to alleviate the human suffering of the Yemeni people, and the international pressures required to push the Houthis to fulfill their obligations under the UN Declaration and the Stockholm Agreement.
