A training course on awareness on mine dangers planted by Houthi militia commenced activities on Tuesday in Baihan and Usailan Districts here.
The course is carried out by the National Demining Center (NDC) and financed by UNICEF.
The NDC's Coordinator Ali al-Shairi confirmed awareness on mine dangers after liberating the two districts from Houthi rebel militia, which mined the districts, for protecting lives of locals.
He made it clear that the militia had committed big crimes in Shabwa Province by planting the mines haphazardly in Baihan and Usailan Districts.
These mines pose threats to lives of the citizens in the area, he said.
