Cabinet surprised over donors' dealing with rebels

The Cabinet has expressed surprise that some donors implement projects in accordance with policies that do not serve the Yemeni people and government.
In a meeting in Aden on Sunday chaired by Prime Minister Ahmed bin-Daghr, the Cabinetemphasized the necessity of donors dealing with the internationally recognized government instead of the Houthi rebel militia.
Politically, the Cabinet condemned the Houthi militia's abuses against the GPC party members in Sana'a, calling on the international community to put an end to these abuses.
Bin-Daghr affirmed that the government is determined to reconstruct the properties that the Houthi rebel militia destroyed during their years long insurgency.
He said his government is also bent on improving services and security in the liberated provinces.
The Cabinet also reviewed the Minister of Planning Dr. Mohammed Assadi's report on the outcomes of the meeting between Yemen and the World Bank for assessing the portfolio of WB-backed projects, the already implemented and the ones under implementation.
The Cabinet emphasized the coordination between the Ministry and the WB and other donors to implement development and relief projects.
