ADEN-SABA
The Presidency of the Republic announced with profound sorrow and deep grief the death of former President, veteran statesman, and Field Marshal Abd-Rabbu Mansour Hadi, who passed away on Thursday after a lifetime devoted to national service and the struggle for Yemen and its people.

In an official statement, the Presidency extended condolences to the Yemeni people and to the Arab and Islamic nations, describing the late president as a national figure who held the highest military and political positions and remained committed to the republican system, constitutional legitimacy, Yemen’s unity, and the supreme interests of the nation during some of the most difficult periods in the country’s modern history.

The statement recalled Hadi’s leadership during the transitional phase and his role in facilitating a peaceful transfer of power that spared Yemen from wider conflict during a highly sensitive period.

It also highlighted his sponsorship of the Comprehensive National Dialogue Conference, describing it as one of the most significant consensual political milestones aimed at building a just federal state founded on partnership, equal citizenship, the rule of law, and the protection of rights and freedoms.

The Presidency further praised the late president’s stance in defending Yemen’s unity, sovereignty, and territorial integrity, as well as his efforts to confront the coup against state institutions and national principles.

The statement also referred to his commitment to preserving Yemen’s Arab identity, protecting independent national decision-making, adhering to national, regional, and international references, and supporting the Yemeni people’s right to restore state institutions and end the Houthi coup backed by the Iranian regime in pursuit of a comprehensive and just peace.
