Minister of State and Governor of Aden Abdulrahman Sheikh met on Wednesday with a delegation from the Office of the United Nations Special Envoy to Yemen, headed by military adviser Antony Hayward, to discuss current developments in the city and issues related to humanitarian assistance, development efforts, and essential public services.
The discussions focused on enhancing coordination between the local administration and the UN envoy’s office, in addition to reviewing mechanisms for backing humanitarian, development, and service-oriented projects that could contribute to improving overall conditions and strengthening stability in Aden.
During the meeting, Governor Sheikh reaffirmed the local authority’s commitment to continuing institutional development and administrative reform while maintaining constructive engagement with government directives and policies.
He emphasized that priority is being given to initiatives that directly benefit citizens, improve living and service conditions, and address the negative impacts of war and corruption.
