MASAM Removes 798 Landmines During First Week of June
The MASAM Project implemented by the King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) to clear Yemeni land of mines has removed 798 landmines and explosive remnants of war during the first week of June.

Yemen Participates in 30th Meeting of Indian Ocean Tuna Commission

The Republic of Yemen participated today, Thursday, in the 30th meeting of the Indian Ocean Tuna Commission (IOTC) in the Maldivian capital, Malé.

The Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Irrigation for the Fisheries Production and Marketing Sector Eng. Ghazi Lahmar contributed to the gathering deliberations.

The meeting discussed key issues related to the state of the fisheries sector in the member countries, current environmental and economic challenges, as well as reviewing the current conditions of the fisheries sector.

Lahmar called for strengthening regional cooperation among member states, especially neighboring countries, in order to face the common challenges in fishery management and to develop effective strategies that ensure the sustainability of marine resources.

He also demanded reviewing Yemen's share of tuna in international waters in accordance with the exceptional circumstances the country is going through.
