Minister al-Bakri discusses with his Turkish counterpart ways to enhance you youth cooperation

Minister of Youth and Sports Nayef al-Bakri met Tuesday with the Turkish Minister of Youth and Sports, Osman Aşkın Bak, discussing with him aspects of bilateral relations and joint cooperation between the two friendly countries in the fields of youth and sports.

The meeting, held on the sidelines of the 8th Traditional Sports Forum in the Turkish city of Antalya, addressed the possibility of benefiting from Turkish expertise to support the development of youth and sports sectors in Yemen.

Both sides agreed to prepare a joint cooperation protocol that includes a package of programs in “training and qualification, sports medicine, youth capacity development, provision of technical consultations, in addition to sports infrastructure projects.”

During the meeting, Minister al-Bakri praised the strong and sincere fraternal relations between Yemen and Turkey, as well as support provided to the Yemeni people in various fields.

He also expressed the ministry’s aspiration to expand cooperation with the Turkish side in a way that contributes to training and qualifying youth, developing the capacities of personnel working in sports medicine, and advancing the overall level of sports in Yemen.
