Masam removes 1,231 landmines in one week planted by Houthi Militias

The Masam Project of King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center for clearing mines in Yemen has successfully removed 1,231 landmines planted by Houthi militias across various governorates during the period from March 28 to April 3, 2026.

In a statement, the project said the removed items included 49 anti-tank mines, 9 anti-personnel mines, and 1,173 unexploded ordnance (UXO).

The total number of mines cleared since the launch of the Masam Project has now reached 552,420, which had been randomly planted across Yemeni territories, claiming innocent lives—particularly those of children, women, and the elderly—and spreading fear among civilians.
