The Minister of Water and Environment Eng. Tawfiq al-Sharjabi discussed today, Thursday, via video conferencing with the World Bank (WB) the United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) team in Yemen joint cooperation in the water and sanitation sector.

The discussions covered the projects approved within the WB's portfolio in the field of water and environmental sanitation, the projects under implementation and ongoing cooperation regarding the early warning project funded through the partnership between the World Bank and the Green Climate Fund.

They also underlined the importance of continuing diesel fuel support for water institutions. As it one of the main factors to ensure the operation of pumping systems and the continued provision of water services to citizens.
