Prime Minister, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates Dr. Shaya Zindani received Tuesday the Ambassador of the European Union to Yemen Patrick Simonnet along with his accompanying delegation.
During the meeting, they discussed existing cooperation relations and ways to develop them in a manner that serves the government’s priorities at the current stage.
During the meeting, the Prime Minister expressed his appreciation for the support provided by the European Union to Yemen, stressing the importance of directing this support toward priority sectors in a way that enhances the government’s ability to implement its reform program and improve the level of basic services for citizens.
The Prime Minister also reviewed the key features of the government’s program, the progress achieved in economic and administrative reforms, as well as the efforts made to enhance the efficiency of state institutions and strengthen stability.
For his part, the EU Ambassador affirmed the Union’s commitment to continuing its support for the Yemeni government and strengthening the partnership across various fields, contributing to recovery efforts and the achievement of sustainable development.
