ADEN - SABA
His Excellency President Dr. Rashad al-Alimi, Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council (PLC) called on the Yemeni people to strengthen the spirit of tolerance, reconciliation and to put the national interest of the country above all else, at a critical moment in the history of our country and our people, as signs of victory can be clearly seen more than ever before.

In a speech to the people on the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, delivered on his behalf by the Minister of Endowments and Guidance, His Reverence Sheikh Turki al-Wadaei, the President said 'The great history of our country teaches us that victory isn't made by weapons alone, but also made by hearts that forgive and the minds that negotiate and wills that place the interest of the nation and its people above all else".

The President also commemorated the anniversary of the liberation of the temporary capital, saying "On days like these, the heroic resistance fighters achieved victory in Aden, defending a city that was and still is a symbol of freedom and a testament to our nation's steadfast resistance against the Iranian regime-backed Imamate scheme ".

He added: "We are nowadays approaching the fourth anniversary of the creation of the PLC, a moment when the Yemenis chose the path of national partnership as an alternative to division", adding "After years of practice and work, it can be confidently said that the PLC today has become more cohesive and harmonious and more aware of the nature of the stage and its requirements".

The Chairman of the PLC emphasized that the formation of the new government, which combined experience, competence and broad national representation, came as a step reflecting "Our belief that building a modern state can only be achieved with the participation of all its citizens".

The President stated that experience has proven that mitigating suffering and creating a different model is not impossible when national will is available, political forces are in agreement and regional and international partnerships become clear and effective in achieving stability and improving the citizens' living conditions.

President al-Alimi praised the positions of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA), which have proven at all historical stages that it is the most loyal supporter and the truest backer of Yemen and its people at all levels, saying "While destructive schemes continue in our region, investing in chaos, militias and weapons outside the framework of the state, the KSA is pursuing a different project based on supporting national states, stability, development and peace."

Al-Alimi restated the Yemeni-Saudi partnership isn't merely a relationship between two neighboring countries, but rather a partnership of destiny, mutual security and stability and a safe haven for the entire region.

The Chairman of the PLC addressed the fellow citizens in the Houthi militias controlled regions, reassuring that the future will belong to the equal citizenship state where all people equals and that the signs of victory are closer than ever thanks to the steadfastness and sacrifices of the Yemenis.

At the regional and international level, the Chairman of the PLC reiterated the full solidarity of the Republic of Yemen with the brothers in the KSA, the member states of the Gulf Cooperation Council and the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan against the aggressions of the Iranian regime on their security and stability.
