Chief of the General Staff and Commander of Joint Operations, Lieutenant General Sagheer bin Aziz, held talks on Wednesday with Saudi Chief of the General Staff, General Fayyad Al-Ruwaili, on enhancing joint military cooperation and advancing the defense partnership between the two brotherly countries in a manner that serves regional and international security and stability.
The two sides discussed ways to expand areas of military coordination and strengthen joint mechanisms to enhance combat readiness and develop planning, command and control systems, in light of regional challenges and shared security requirements.
Bin Aziz and Al-Ruwaili reviewed the achievements of the previous phase of bilateral cooperation, particularly advanced qualification programs for Yemeni personnel in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, as well as efforts to develop defense and logistical capabilities.
