Member of the Presidential Leadership Council Dr. Abdullah al-Alimi met today, Monday, with the American Ambassador to the Republic of Yemen Steven Fagin.
During the meeting they discussed the ongoing efforts to establish peace in Yemen.
Dr. Al-Alimi mentioned the efforts have been exerted by the brothers in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Sultanate of Oman, affirming the Presidential Leadership Council's constructive dealing with those good offices in order to stop the war in Yemen and to save the Yemeni people further destructive consequences of this war.
The Member of the Presidential Leadership Council touched upon the ongoing Israeli occupation forces aggression on the Palestinian people, denouncing the Israeli war crimes and the crimes against the humanity the Israeli occupation forces have been committing against the civilians in Gaza Strip.
Al-Alimi confirmed Yemen's solidarity with the Palestinian people and its full support for their struggle for independence and their legitimate right to establish their own independent statehood based on the international resolutions in relevance and the Arab Initiative for peace.
The American Ambassador confirmed his administration's support for the ongoing efforts to make peace in Yemen, reiterating Washington's support for the Presidential Leadership Council, Yemen's security, unity, and stability.
